The first Featured Ancestor(s) couple! Note (above) that Mom is holding Dad’s finger. They were so comfortable with one another and so much in love. |

Whenever we had tire trouble the agreement was that Dad would do the hub caps and lug nuts if Mom inflated the spare. (Kidding!) I set up this photo op in 1962. Mom did a lot of hard work in her life but she never had to pump up a tire. |

Mom & Dad met, married and started farming Dad met Mom when he was invited to his cousin Jake’s wedding. Dad wrote, “In May 1942 we got married. I was drafted 5 days later. I went as a C.O. and spent about four years in different parts of the U.S. In Feb of 1946 I was released - the war was over and Eleaner and I headed for Kansas. Canton, Kansas to be exact! So Eleaner and I, we started living.” “My life has been full of good things. When I do get discouraged all I have to do is count my blessings and things are just pretty good! A-MEN” |
